Course vendors have every incentive to describe the thing they sell as required, and in plenty of places it is not. Some of the most confidently worded pages you will find are selling a voluntary certificate under a name that implies a license.
How the module works
The first lesson is the method, and it is true everywhere. It explains how alcohol service regulation is organized in the United States, the shapes an answer can take, how to find your own authority's page, and how to read it once you are there. Learn it and you can answer this question in any state or county, including ones we have not covered, and including after the rules change.
